Teaching experience:

  • I have been teaching Space Medicine at RWTH Aachen University since 2015. It is a lecture series comprising 10 lectures and ending with a written exam that is offered each semester mainly to medical students, but is also visited by engineering and science university students. It is set up as a blended-learning course with a lot of online videos and learning materials, as well as lectures and seminars on site.
  • At RWTH Aachen University Hospital and Cologne University Hospital, I have been extensively involved in Orthopaedic Surgery teaching for Medical Students in different course formats. These included lectures, seminars, shadowing and hands-on surgery simulator courses.
  • At Charité University in Berlin, I gave Physiology seminars for medical and bioinformatics students.

In addition, I am an active reviewer for several journals and institutions.
