Welcome!

This is the private website of Bergita Ganse, the professor for Experimental Musculoskeletal Medicine at Saarland University in Germany. My research focuses on the musculoskeletal system during spaceflight, immobilization and ageing, with an emphasis on physiological and biomechanical in vivo measurements. The field of digital medicine is of great interest to me, including the use of wearable devices for research and to address clinical questions, as well as the development of smart implants. I am also the author of several books.
